Patuxent High School Awarded Millionaire’s Club of the Year!


Congratulations to Patuxent High School, Calvert County, MD for being named Millionaire’s Club of the Year!

The Club distinguished itself by engaging its credit union sponsor, Educational Systems FCU, performing a successful entrepreneurial project, and a highlight for the year – the Patuxent Club won first place in the Maryland Personal Finance Challenge!

“The Club has helped our students to make good decisions regarding how to manage their money,” Club Advisor Donna Herron said. “The Club sessions enhance the skills they are learning in microeconomics.

“Students were excited to compete in the challenges because they got a chance to experience the relationship between good financial decisions and successful outcomes.”

In addition to Patuxent High School’s Millionaire’s Club other Clubs were recently honored at the Maryland Council on Economic Education Student achievement Awards Ceremony at Towson University.

Millionaire’s Club members from Howard County’s Applications & Research Lab were recognized for their second pace finish in the Maryland Personal Finance Bowl.

Prince George’s County’s Eleanor Roosevelt High Millionaire’s Club team won first pace in the Stock Market Gameâ„¢ regional awards (Spring session).

The Millionaire’s Club at River Hill High School, Howard County, produced a first place Stock Market Game™ team in the statewide year-long competition.
